首位获得中国绿卡的“一带一路”石油非-阿籍教职员

在中国学习、生活和工作了26年之后，首位来自苏丹的海外“一带一路”非洲-阿拉伯教职员工Yasir Mukhtar（雅西博士）于2026年获得了中国的“绿卡”（外国人永久居留身份证）。这一成就不仅代表了他实现了中非-阿拉伯梦想，还反映了诸多方面，包括不同国家人民友谊的全球吸引力、中国文化多样性的软实力、中国对外开放政策的深化、以及中非和中阿发展的“一带一路”倡议等。以下段落提供了故事的背景，突出了友谊纽带，并探讨了文化相关性。

1995年至1999年，在移居北京之前，雅西是苏丹科技大学的讲师。当他受聘于北京石油大学时，他开始逐渐适应在中国的生活。通过不懈的努力和学习，他已精通中文，能写一手漂亮的书法，并开始尝试将中英阿三种书法融合，形成自己的风格。在石油大学的历史上，他是首位在2014年博士毕业后，同时获得硕士和博士学位，并在大学工作的海外学生。

后来，凭借他在北京20多年积累的人脉关系和个人能力，他更加努力地工作。在来自不同国家的海外研究人员眼中，他一直是友好、和蔼、幽默的同事之一；而在他的学生眼中，他则成为了他们的“引路人”和“心灵的旗帜”。在过去的26年里，他帮助研究生完成研究项目，发表他们的文章，并在国际会议上展示他们的研究成果。  

中国有句谚语：“滴水之恩，当涌泉相报。”这句谚语告诫我们要常怀感恩之心！因此，雅西博士逐渐意识到，自己有幸在中国度过了人生中重要的一段时光，中国已成为他的第二故乡，他爱上了这个可爱的生活与工作之地，并对此心怀感激。

在加强不同国家人民之间的友谊与合作方面，雅西博士共同指导了50多门与石油工程相关的短期课程，协调了“一带一路”倡议的课程，并设计了结合中文、阿拉伯文和英文书法的小型工作坊等活动。

最后但同样重要的是，在计算机科学和人工智能专家、前苏丹科技大学校长伊泽尔丁·奥斯曼教授的赞赏信的鼓励下，雅西开始更多地参与书籍的翻译、审稿和合著工作。在这些书籍中，他与人合编了一本名为《管道风险评估技术》的书，并独立撰写了一本名为《非洲的上海——苏丹港的故事》的书

The first B&R Afro-Arabian faculty member to be granted China's green card

After a 26-year journey of studying, living, and working in China, the first overseas B&R Afro-Arabian faculty member, Dr Yasir Mukhtar, who is originally from Sudan, has been granted China's "Green Card" (permanent residence identity card for foreigners) this year, 2026. This achievement not only represents his realization of China-Afro-Arab’s dream, but also reflects many aspects, including the global appeal of friendship of the people of different nations, China's cultural diversity soft power, the deepening of China's opening-up policy, the “Belt and Road” initiative for Sino-Africa and Sino-Arab development, etc. The following paragraphs provide the background of the story, highlight the friendship ties, and explore the cultural relevance.

From 1995 to 1999, before moving to Beijing, Dr. Yasir was a lecturer at the Sudan University of Science and Technology. He started to get familiar with living in China when he got employed at the Petroleum University in Beijing. Through consistent hard effort and study, he has become proficient in Chinese and can write good calligraphy, and has started to practise the blend of Chinese, English, and Arabic calligraphy in his own style. In the Petroleum University's history, he is the first overseas student to get both a master's and a doctoral degree while also working at the university after his PhD graduation in 2014.

Later, based on his personal relationships accumulated over more than 20 years in Beijing, and his personal capabilities, he worked even harder. In the perspective of overseas researchers from different nations, he has always been one of the friendly, amiable, and humorous colleagues, while in the perspective of his students, he becomes their "guide" and "flag bearer of the soul". Over the last 26 years, he has helped graduate students with their research projects, publishing their articles, and presenting their outcomes at international conferences.  

A Chinese proverb states, "When one receives a drop of water from others, one should repay it with a spring of water." This proverb advises us to have a grateful heart constantly! As a result, Dr Yasir gradually realizes how fortunate and grateful he is to have spent a significant portion of his life in China, which has become his second home, and falls in love with a lovely place to live and work.

In terms of strengthening friendship and cooperation among people of different nations, Dr Yasir co-supervised over 50 short-term courses relevant to petroleum engineering, coordinated courses for "the Belt and Road" initiative, and designed small workshops combining Chinese, Arabic, and English calligraphy, among other activities.

Last but not least，encouraged by a letter of appreciation from the computer science and AI expert Prof. Dr. Izeldin Othman, the former Sudan University of Science and Technology's president, to study Chinese and therefore Dr Yasir became more involved in translating, editorial reviewing and co-authoring books. Among those books, he co-edited one book, "Pipeline Risk Assessment Technology" and authored one book entitled "Tale of Portsudan, the Shanghai of Africa."

Confucius stated, "When walking with two others, you’ll find your teacher among them." In the next days, we wish Dr Yasir to continue to learn from Chinese experts and his friends, evaluate the culture of the people from his unique perspective of blending, observe people’s customs, perceive the charm and virtues of China, and strive to realize his all dreams on this land of opportunities and hope.
